The Ethereum Issuance Curve and its Impact on Validators
What effect does a change in Ethereum's issuance curve have on the degree of decentralisation in Ethereum's validator set? Swiss Economics is investigating this question as part of cyber.Fund's MVI Grants Program.

ContactProject Description
In order to limit the continued growth of staking in the Ethereum ecosystem, adjustments to the issuance curve are currently being proposed that would lead to a reduction in staking yields. However, the potential impact of such a change on the various actors in the ecosystem has not yet been sufficiently researched. In particular, a reduction in yields could undermine the degree of decentralisation of validators. To this end, the research team at Swiss Economics is conducting a study on the potential impact of changes to the issuance curve on the various actors in the Ethereum ecosystem, in particular the solo stakers.
The project is funded by cyber.Fund's MVI Grant Program. A more detailed description can be found here.
