Economic evidence increasingly plays a decisive role during antitrust proceedings. Swiss Economics supports you with advice, studies and expert opinions. We analyze and quantify the competitive effects of agreements, business practices and mergers, and develop solid theories of harm and efficiency.

Expert reports. Swiss Economics prepares expert reports using the latest methods of industrial economics. We offer a wide range of theoretical and empirical analyses to help you effectively communicate and defend your position. We develop our arguments in a clear and compelling manner in order to maximize the impact for a broad audience.

Antitrust proceedings. We support you in answering questionnaires, merger notifications, and other submissions to competition authorities. In addition, Swiss Economics prepares risk assessments, and second opinions, and participates in expert meetings and negotiations.

Compliance and Screening. Swiss Economics primarily provides its services in the context of antitrust proceedings before competition authorities, but is also frequently consulted on economic issues in the area of compliance. In particular, Swiss Economics operates a data-based screening tool that enables tendering authorities to proactively check bids for collusion and conspicuous bidding behavior.

How far can and should the international governing body of the world’s most popular sport be allowed to restrict competition within the market of football agents?

The EU has been working on a law to regulate Artificial Intelligence, known as the AI Act for years. Following recent developments surrounding "ChatGPT," the draft of the AI Act was significantly revised and adopted by the European Parliament on June 14th 2023. The following outlines two aspects of the AI Act that are particularly interesting from a competition economics perspective.
