ContactProject description
Prices on the European energy markets have risen significantly over the course of 2022. Accordingly, various possible measures have been introduced, discussed or already adopted at EU and member state level, as well as at federal and cantonal level.
Against this backdrop, the BFE commissioned a study from Swiss Economics to categorise the economic impact of the measures currently being considered in the EU and its member states. The study analyses the expected effects and shows the extent to which Switzerland would or should follow this lead. To the extent that this is the case, initial considerations are made regarding implementation.
Methods
- Inclusion of relevant measures against high prices at EU and Swiss level
- Structured general assessment
- Identification of particularly relevant measures for Switzerland
- Impact on Switzerland in the event of implementation / non-implementation
- Options for action for Switzerland including rough design of the measures
