This study focuses on the potential role of the traction current network in the electrification of mobility. The first phase of the project focuses on the electrification of bus transport. Due to its power grid, which is designed for high peak loads, SBB appears to be predestined for the rapid charging of battery buses. As part of a stakeholder analysis, the needs of bus operators in particular will be analysed. In addition, the benefits that could result from an economic perspective are analysed.
