ContactProject Description
Swiss Economics is supporting the SFOE as part of its work on the Swiss hydrogen strategy together with ELC and CMS Germany. The question arises as to what the investment needs are for connecting Switzerland to the European hydrogen network, how much of this can be borne by the industry, and whether support instruments or investment guarantees might be required.
To address this, we analyzed the support instruments in neighboring EU countries as well as the amount of public subsidies granted for the development of a hydrogen network. Based on this analysis, an appropriate evaluation framework for support instruments was developed and applied. The evaluation ultimately led to recommendations for suitable instruments for the Swiss government.
