ContactProject description
Swiss Economics supported the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ) in its participation in the regulatory systematics of the fourth regulatory period of the Austrian gas distribution network operators. Topics included the determination of the sectoral productivity factor (Xgen) and the financing cost rate (WACC) against the background of the corona pandemic and the Ukraine war.
E-Control uses the regulatory systematics to determine the maximum individual revenue caps that may be imposed on Austrian distribution system operators in the coming regulatory period.
Methods
- Critical appraisal of expert opinions of counterparties and authorities
- Assessment of the incentive effect of the regulatory system as a whole
- Participation in the stakeholder process
